Connect PayPal
Accept PayPal using the REST app from your own PayPal business account.
PayPal payments settle into your own PayPal business account. PayPal's fees apply under your PayPal agreement; Storelancer doesn't add a transaction fee.
Create a REST app
- Sign in to the PayPal Developer dashboard with your business account.
- Under Apps & Credentials, create a REST API app (use Sandbox while testing, Live when you're ready).
- Copy the Client ID and Secret.
Connect it to your store
- In Storelancer, go to Settings → Payments → PayPal and paste the Client ID and Secret. Choose Sandbox or Live to match the app.
- Copy the webhook URL shown on the connection page.
- In your PayPal app settings, add a webhook with that URL and subscribe to the CHECKOUT.ORDER.* and PAYMENT.CAPTURE.* events (for example CHECKOUT.ORDER.APPROVED, PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED, PAYMENT.CAPTURE.DENIED and PAYMENT.CAPTURE.REFUNDED).
- Copy the Webhook ID PayPal shows and paste it into Storelancer. Incoming webhooks are verified with PayPal using this ID.
- Turn PayPal on for checkout.
Currency support varies by PayPal market. If PayPal doesn't support your store currency, the option won't be offered at checkout.
