FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how Storelancer works.
Does Storelancer take a percentage of my sales?
No. You pay the platform subscription for your plan. Payment processing fees are charged by your own payment provider (for example Stripe or PayPal) under your agreement with them. Storelancer doesn't add a transaction fee on top.
Where does my customers' money go?
Straight to the payment account you connect — your own Stripe account (via Stripe Connect or your own API keys) or your own PayPal business app. For cash on delivery and bank transfer, you collect payment directly. The platform never holds merchant funds.
Which payment providers are supported?
Stripe, PayPal, cash on delivery and bank transfer are supported today. Other providers such as Square, Mollie or Razorpay are listed in the dashboard as not yet supported and can't be connected yet.
Can I sell in more than one currency?
Each store sells in one currency, chosen when you create it from a wide list of supported currencies. If you need a separate currency for another market, you can create another store (subject to your plan's store limit).
Is tax calculated automatically?
Storelancer applies the tax rates you configure per country or region, with options for tax-inclusive pricing and taxing shipping. It doesn't automatically determine tax for every jurisdiction or file taxes for you.
What happens if I downgrade my plan?
Nothing is deleted. If you're above the new plan's limits (for example number of products or staff), you keep everything you have but can't add more until you're back within the limit.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on plans that include custom domains. You verify ownership with a DNS TXT record and point the domain at your store with a CNAME (or ALIAS/A record for a root domain).
Can I sell digital products?
Yes. Upload files that are stored privately; customers receive secure, limited download links once their payment is confirmed.
Can my team help run the store?
Yes, on plans that include team accounts. Invite people by email and give them a role — administrator, product manager, order manager, customer support or read-only analyst.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Pick one of the seven themes, then arrange sections and adjust colors, fonts and layout in the visual builder. Changes stay in draft until you publish them.
