Terms of service

Template — have this reviewed by counsel before launch

This is placeholder text for the platform operator. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed for any jurisdiction. Bracketed items must be completed. Replace it in Admin → Content (type “legal”, slug “terms”).

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Storelancer (the "Service"), a platform for building and operating online stores. By creating an account you agree to them. [Operator legal name and address to be inserted.]

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity in your account and in stores you own, including actions taken by team members you invite.

3. Your store and your customers

You are the seller in every transaction made through your store. You are responsible for your products, prices, descriptions, fulfillment, customer service, refunds, returns, and for complying with laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, tax and privacy laws.

4. Payments

Customer payments are processed by the payment provider you connect (for example Stripe or PayPal) under your own agreement with that provider, or collected by you directly (cash on delivery, bank transfer). The Service does not hold your funds. Provider fees are charged by the provider.

5. Subscription fees

Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period. You can change or cancel your plan in your dashboard. If you downgrade, your existing data is kept, but you may not be able to add more until you're within the new plan's limits. [Refund policy for subscription fees to be inserted.]

6. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend a store or account that violates it or these terms, and will give a reason.

7. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You give us the permission needed to host and display it to operate your store. You must have the rights to everything you upload.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but don't guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change features; we will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms.

9. Liability

[Limitation of liability and warranty disclaimer to be drafted by counsel for the operator's jurisdiction.]

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and request account closure from your account settings. [Data retention and export terms to be inserted.]

11. Governing law and contact

[Governing law, dispute resolution and contact details to be inserted.]
